Argo transforms reservoir into “sonic playground”

Be immersed in an underground world crafted by Brisbane composers Ben Heim and Connor D’Netto in their newest show Flow.

The contemporary-classical duo known as Argo will build an atmosphere of soundscapes, spreading acoustic and electronic instruments through the Spring Hill Reservoir.

“Spring Hill Reservoir is a venue like no other – it is both beautiful yet slightly spine-chilling. You’re underground, completely cut off from the outside world. We want the audience to fall down the rabbit hole with us, to create a surreal experience and a concert like no other, to escape real life with us for an evening,” Connor says.

The event, part of Anywhere Festival, will host world premieres of works by the two young talents along with a range of music from fellow Brisbane composers. It’ll take place on Friday at 7.30. More info and tickets here: www.argosound.com/flow .

Connor is a student at UQ and Ben a graduate. They established Argo in 2015 to “further collaborate on pushing the boundaries of genre and form,” according to Ben. See for yourself in the video below.
