In the heart of the Southern Highlands, the Bowral Autumn Music Festival, now in its 12th year, has established itself firmly as a Highlight of the Highlands. With eight diverse concerts programmed over three days, glorious St Jude’s Church in Bowral will come alive with chamber music from all corners of the world.

Performers will include the imminent Phillip Shovk, Charmian Gadd, Robert Johnson, The Song Company, Acacia Quartet, Ayse Goknur Shanal, Verna Lee, and Brett McKern.

The festival will feature much-loved classics such as Dvorak’s American String Quartet, Brahms’ Horn Trio, Prokofiev’s Cello Sonata and Faure’s Claire de Lune alongside new compositions by leading Australian composers Gordon Kerry, Alice Chance, John Peterson, and May Howlett.

The festival will also feature performances by our next generation of talented musicians Makito Mizushima (organ), Lily Dai (cello) and Leannne Jin (piano), and a wonderful collaboration between the local Bowral Primary School Children’s Choir with The Song Company.

Throughout the weekend, the organ at St Jude’s Church will be played by Brett McKern and Allan Beavis and there will be a Festival Church Service on Sunday morning at 10am.
