The MYO’s Big Busk 2025 will see over 700 students participating in the event on Saturday 20 September, at Melbourne’s iconic Queen Victoria Market raising funds to support young musicians from all over Victoria.
For the first time in its history, the 2025 edition of The Big Busk is expanding beyond its traditional Sydney roots to become a simultaneous, two-city fundraising celebration. This year, the Melbourne Youth Orchestras will proudly join forces with the Sydney Youth Orchestras, uniting young musicians from across Australia, as The Big Busk makes its highly anticipated debut in Naarm (Melbourne).
The event will feature 14 ensembles performing on a main stage in one of the market’s historic heritage sheds, while chamber groups, duos and individual performers will fill the air with music at the market’s much-loved busking sites from 8 am – 4 pm
