The Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music (BIFEM) is the Australian home of virtuosity in musicianship and innovation in musical composition.
Six years in, BIFEM has come to mean many things to many people. At BIFEM’s heart is community. People who love making music, listening to music and being around music. The festival attracts people who bring no prejudice to their listening, no pretension to their presence, and above all do not look for recognition or hierarchy but only to inspire others and equally be inspired.
BIFEM 2018 is armed with an exciting line-up of premiere works showcasing virtuosity in musicianship and innovation in composition. This year is set to be the best yet with the incredible Adelaide Symphony Orchestra performing two shows, Tranquil Abiding and Lonely Child, in its first ever Victorian appearance!
