CAPTIVITY AND FREEDOM

CONTENT COURTESY THE CHOIR OF ST JAMES’

The Choir of St James’ performs music for Lent, including Philip Moore’s Three Prayers of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and works by Byrd.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was executed in a Nazi concentration camp in April 1945, only weeks before it was liberated. Three Prayers of Dietrich Bonhoeffer captures the author’s hope and despair.

The Choir of St James’, directed by Warren Trevelyan-Jones, explores themes of captivity and freedom, personal struggle and renewal.

See Captivity and Freedom this April 6.
