The Melbourne Guitar Foundation will this month host a festival and competition featuring world class musicians including Russia’s Vladimir Gorbach, and Ukrainian-born and Aussie-based Alex Tsiboulski, and some of the country’s top emerging guitar groups including the Melbourne Conservatorium Guitar Ensemble, the Victorian Guitar Orchestra, and the Melbourne Guitar Quartet.
The festival will take place in the Melba Hall on September 19 and 20, with free food and drink featured in evening recitals. Festival passes $50 full, $40 concession with individual concerts $30/$25. See www.melbourneguitarfoundation.com for more info.
