National Music Camp? You’re on.

The Australian Youth Orchestra NMC kicks off this month

Want to meet 250 people who share your passion, and experience incredible music together?

Yeah, we do too.

The Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp is on this month, bringing together talented emerging artists from across the country.

If you’ve participated in NMC before (like we have), it’s likely you’ll have some wild experiences (musical, of course) and crazy memories (non-musical, of course) to look back on. It’s a two-week program that provides professional and educational development to budding artists across fields from composition to performance, writing, sound production, and arts administration. And it’s been running for 70 years.

This year, conductors Christopher Seaman, Moritz Gnann, and director Sophie Rowell have jumped on board to help facilitate this educational experience – and to bring the music to NMC concertgoers throughout January. Guest artists Marshall McGuire (harp) and Ashley William Smith (clarinet) will feature, too. And most importantly, you’ll get to listen to the NMC artists’ hard work and hear their professional development activities in action when you rock up to the concerts taking place in Adelaide.
