Subscriber Terms and Conditions

I. Individual subscriptions last for one year (billed once, up front). Looking to renew or upgrade? Email admin@cutcommonmag.com. Your privacy is important to us. We will not pass your personal details along to third parties, but with your permission we may quote your CutCommon Subscriber ID if required for bookings queries and related activities. Your Subscriber ID is the ID number emailed with your purchase. By becoming a subscriber this means you consent to adding your email address into our mailing list. We may ask you for your postal address if we need to send you a competition prize. You must have an existing Australian postal address for this purpose; if you cannot supply it your prize will not be accepted. You will also need to accept your prize within 48 hours to secure your prize. You are not permitted to transfer your membership to another individual or share our mailing list send-outs to third parties. You may be asked for your Subscriber ID at any time. Failure to follow these terms and conditions may result in cancellation of your subscription.

II. You are not permitted to share your discount code, and this code will be updated occasionally to ensure it is used by subscribers only. Discounts apply to full priced tickets purchased online through the participating group or organisation’s website unless stated otherwise. See our list to find out exact discount amounts and conditions for each group. Individual events in which participating groups do not have control over their ticketing or booking options (such as collaborations with third parties, fundraiser events, or special venue events) may be excluded from the discounts. CutCommon is not responsible if for any reason a subscriber is denied a discount, but we encourage you to get in touch with us if you encounter a problem. The listed groups have committed to supplying discounts to CutCommon subscribers until the end of their respective 2017 concert seasons, at which time we’ll reassess our collaboration to ensure all is running smoothly. This may only affect subscribers after 1 January 2017. You’ll be kept informed. We may update the list of available discounts over time, and include collaborations with more ensembles. If you have an ensemble or orchestra of interest that you’d like to see added to this list, feel free to get in touch. Existing subscribers must visit our website for the latest updates and additions, but we’ll let you know through our mailing list when we add more benefits.

III. You are entitled to free Events listings on the CutCommon website or through the mailing list, depending on your subscription package. These are for arts events within Australia and can be as big as an opera or small as a university recital. But if we find your event to be obscene, racist, defamatory, sexual, invasive of privacy, part of a political campaign, spam, illegal, or in any other way damaging to the arts community, we reserve the right not to publish your event. You may only list events that you have the authority to promote and we may edit your listing to suit our house style. You must supply original and quality images with a photo credit and you must not infringe on intellectual property rights. CutCommon is not liable for any losses or damages incurred from subscriber events listings. In order for us to run an events listing you will need to email us the time, date, event name, parties involved, a brief description, and a reliable website or Facebook events link. This must be sent at least 10 days prior to your event.

IV. If you are one of our subscribers to win a competition to attend one day of the Australian Art Orchestra’s Creative Music Intensive, you will need to provide your own transport to the residency at Tarraleah, Tasmania. You will be provided with lunch on the day. The next event in 2017 is pending funding.

V. You acknowledge that you do not own any intellectual property or otherwise in the CutCommon website. You may cancel your subscription at any time but you may be charged a cancellation fee. Payments made toward your membership are non-refundable. CutCommon is not liable to you for any losses or damages accumulated by participating in activities associated with your subscriber membership.

These terms and conditions may change at any time.
