WRITER LINE-UP // Elsabeth Parkinson, SA

MEET THE TEAM BRINGING YOU CUTCOMMON'S FIRST EVER PRINT EDITION

We’re going to print!

In 2018, CutCommon will launch its first ever print magazine. And as far as we know, it’ll also be the first street press publication in Australia dedicated to sharing the stories of young and emerging classical musicians.

You’ll be able to pick up a copy of CutCommon’s physical edition for free when you visit one of the 50+ top-secret venues in our roving launch, which we’ll announce soon enough. (And if you subscribe to CutCommon, we’ll post one straight to your door.)

But leading up to our 2018 launch, we’re going to bring you our writer line-up – so join us as we celebrate and reveal the talent working hard behind-the-scenes to craft this bold new national magazine.

WRITERS IN PRINT!

Elsabeth Parkinson, SA

Elsabeth Parkinson is a writer, teacher, and pianist based in Adelaide. She has contributed to CutCommon and Limelight Magazine, as well as scores of concert programs around Adelaide.

In 2017, Elsabeth completed a long-distance writing internship with Limelight Magazine, an on-site media and marketing internship at the Canberra International Music Festival, and the two-week intensive Words About Music course at the Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp. In 2016, she graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium, where she studied classical piano with Lucinda Collins and pedagogy with Emily Dollman.

Elsabeth first started writing about music in 2015, when she began to contribute program notes for the Elder Hall Lunchtime Concert series, and has since gone on to write for several other concert series around Adelaide.

These days, when she is not writing, or teaching, or accompanying, she is most likely to be found working in the garden, going on a nature walk, or reading a nice piece of English literature.

You know how Elsabeth interned at CIFM? Well, she wrote a blog or to two about it. Give this a read.

Stay tuned to learn about more about the talented writers bringing you CutCommon!
