WRITER LINE-UP // Celine Chong, QLD

Meet the team bringing you CutCommon's first ever print edition

We’re going to print!

In 2018, CutCommon will launch its first ever print magazine. And as far as we know, it’ll also be the first street press publication in Australia dedicated to sharing the stories of young and emerging classical musicians.

You’ll be able to pick up a copy of CutCommon’s physical edition for free when you visit one of the 50+ top-secret venues in our roving launch, which we’ll announce soon enough. (Subscribe to CutCommon, and we’ll post one straight to your door.)

But leading up to our 2018 launch, we’re going to bring you our writer line-up – so join us as we celebrate and reveal the talent working hard behind the scenes to craft this bold new national magazine.

WRITERS IN PRINT!

Celine Chong, QLD

Celine is entering her third year of a Bachelor of Music (Honours)/Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Queensland, studying piano performance with Dr Anna Grinberg. A conscientious and passionate student, Celine has a wide variety of musical interests, and recently participated in the Advanced Masterclass program at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music.

Celine also enjoys writing; and has won numerous awards from the University of Queensland, Queensland Piano Competition, Redlands Eisteddfod, and the English Teachers Association of Queensland. She aspires to pursue a portfolio career in music, using her skills in performing, chamber music, teaching and writing. However, in her spare time, she seeks out good food and maintains a never-ending bucket list.

Want to learn more about Celine? She was named our 2017 CutCommon Young Writer of the Year, and Myles Oakey (former winner) wrote an epic feature about her.

Stay tuned to learn about more about the talented writers bringing you CutCommon!
